One reason we have a freshwater aquarium is that we want to build up to a saltwater one. Having live plants in a freshwater necessitates a perfect balance of chemical, mineral, and organism much like a saltwater tank. Understanding the dedication and cost is also important.

My ultimate goal is to have a large enough tank to house a small octopus. I have never been more fascinated by any thing in my life as these. Of course, you have to know exactly what you are doing so I am prepared to grow and wait for the dream to come true.
